If you are a Beginner through to Professional this CPD Certified Programme will build your fundamental design skills and take your Professional design knowledge to the next level. 

Graphic Design, Interior Design, Makeup Artistry Design, Fashion Design, Decorative Design, Textile Design, Accessory Design, Jewellery Design all creatives would benefit from the core aesthetic principles covered in this Programme.

Your theory based Education will be provided online live via Zoom by David Horne  who holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Art, Design and Communication (Higher Education) with Distinction award and has been teaching in the design industry for over 30 years.

Programme Aims:
This CPD Certified Programme is designed to:

· Enhance participants’ knowledge of historical and contemporary design principles.

· Develop practical creative skills in applying design principles across multiple media.

· Foster reflective practice through structured use of the Expression Book.

· Support personal and professional growth through goal setting, 1:1 learning, and self-assessment.

· Provide a structured pathway that links design exploration with professional outcomes.

Duration: 

20 hours (20 × 1-hour live zoom sessions)

Programme Structure:

· Unit 1: Foundations in Design and Reflection (Sessions 1–5)

· Unit 2: Japanese Aesthetic Design Principles of Balance and Space (Sessions 6–8)

· Unit 3A: Japanese Aesthetic Design Principles of Simplicity, Austerity, Naturalness, Imperfection (Sessions 9–14)

· Unit 3B: Japanese Aesthetic Design Principles of Subtlety, Refinement, Stillness, Harmony (Sessions 15–18) / Reflection and Consolidation (Sessions 19–20)

Build your expression book of your creative visual signature.

We offer you a Professional CPD Certified Programme  online foundation / live informative theory course designed by recognised Artistry Educator David Horne PgCert to prepare learners for the creative sectors. 

The carefully designed three-unit 

CPD Certified Programme  delivers real-world, relevant core  design skills and knowledge for entry-level roles, apprenticeships, or further education. 

It supports both career-focused and personal creative interests, providing a pathway to higher education, training, or direct employment. Learners gain industry-relevant understanding to progress in creative fields. 

Completion of the course and submission of an Expression book earns a Certificate, validating skills for future opportunities in work or study. Our  Programme benefits both individuals and organisations.

How…

The online Programme is focused on individual project based learning  via the physical or digital Expression book so students can explore their ideas, interests and talents. 

The Expression book is a curated way individual students can record their own aesthetic interest and visual language results. 

The Expression book will be submitted for final review for the successful completion of the Programme, curators should time manage to add to their Expression book between each session.

What…

We provide a CPD Certified online foundation course to prepare you for the creative world. Each of the three online Programme units has been designed and is supported by leading industry experts so that we can deliver real-world, relevant education that prepares learners for future careers and education or general creative skills and interests. 

The Programme provides learners with the necessary industry relevant skills, knowledge, and understanding to access appropriate entry level roles, training Programmes or apprenticeships in the creative sector, or apply for progression to related education courses. The online Programme can serve as a stepping stone to or instead of higher education or apprenticeship or lead directly into employment. Upon successful completion of the online Programme and submission of you expression book you will receive a Certificate.

The online Programme would suit post-16 students forging an initial creative path, alongside experienced and mature learners of all ages of anyone interested in the varied creative arts. It gives learners an in-depth introduction to the creative industries, along with a broad foundation of related knowledge, skills, and attributes associated to the creative design process.

Why…

Our curated online Programme method of learning can offer convenience and affordability, in that there is no need to attend an in-person event and course materials can be shared online. Online courses offer flexibility for individuals to participate at a suitable time and schedule around other work and family commitments. In many instances, the online program can be spread over time rather than requiring participation on a given day.

* the Programme fee can be paid in full or spread over 3 instalments [pay per unit] but the certificate will only be allocated upon full completion of the Programme.

* curators please note* 

Each time you complete a unit of the Programme you may be expected to be able to produce research evidence that you are working to complete the creative mini tasks throughout sessions and collage / moodboard work for the Expression book as you progress through the duration of the Programme.

Curators are recommended to purchase an A5 tracing pad prior to commencing the Programme and a basic set of Artist drawing pencils.

You will be provided a facechart pad and membership bade once you have onboarded.
